Website speed & SEO FAQs

What does website speed optimisation involve?

It is engineering work on what the browser has to download and execute: reducing and deferring what loads, sizing and serving images properly, removing render-blocking work, and fixing layout instability. The target is Core Web Vitals, the load, responsiveness and stability measures Google publishes for every page.

Will speed work change how my site looks?

No. Performance work targets what happens underneath the design: how assets are loaded, ordered and served. The visual design and functionality stay as they are unless you specifically ask for changes, in which case that becomes separate design work with its own scope.

How long does a speed and technical SEO project take?

It depends on how the current site is built and how much of the problem is structural rather than superficial. We audit first, then the scope document sets out what will be changed and in what order, so the work is agreed before it starts.

Do you fix technical SEO issues beyond speed?

Yes. Technical SEO work covers crawlability and indexation, redirect and broken link cleanup, metadata and canonical handling, structured data, sitemaps and robots directives, and site architecture. These are the mechanical foundations that determine whether search engines and AI answer engines can read a site properly.
