SEO services

We treat search as engineering: site architecture, crawlability, indexation, structured data, performance, and pages that answer the question being asked.

SEO is the work that makes a website reachable, readable and structurally legible to a search engine, so its pages are eligible to rank. It covers crawlability, indexation, page performance, structured data, internal linking and on-page content. GetQuickSites, a Melbourne software and web development studio, does this work on sites we build and sites we did not.

What this involves

Crawlability and indexation

A search engine has to reach a page and decide to store it before the page can rank. That is governed by robots directives, server responses, canonical tags, internal links and the sitemap. A stray noindex directive left over from a staging setup is a common reason a page has never ranked.

Content in the HTML response

Google queues pages for both crawling and rendering, so rendering happens later. On a client-rendered site, moving the content into the served HTML is usually the largest single change.

Site architecture and internal linking

Which pages exist, how they are grouped and what links to what. We map the current structure and link related pages to each other in body copy as well as the menu.

Structured data

Organization, LocalBusiness, Service, FAQPage and BreadcrumbList markup, using the schema.org vocabulary Google documents. Markup describes only what is on the page, and anything marked up as an FAQ is visible to readers, as Google's structured data policies require.

On-page structure

One page per search intent, headings that reflect the real hierarchy, and copy that answers the question being asked.

Local search

For businesses serving a specific area, the local pack draws largely on Google Business Profile data, matched to your site through the same business name, address and phone number. Local search also depends on your Google Business Profile matching your website: the same business name, address, phone number and services.

When you need this, and when you do not

Worth doing

  • People search for what you sell, and you are not appearing for it.
  • You have pages that should rank and do not, with no obvious reason why.
  • You are rebuilding or migrating, where getting the structure right adds little to the cost.
  • Your site was built as an application and the content is assembled in the browser.

Not worth doing yet

Your site does not convert. More traffic will not fix that, so we would point you to a website redesign first.

Nobody is searching for it. Products sold through referral, tender or direct outreach may have almost no search demand.

You need customers this month. Search work has no set timeline, and paid channels suit immediate volume better.

You are only competing locally. For a single-location service business, a well-maintained Google Business Profile often does more for the same money than a broad search engagement.

How to evaluate a provider, including us

Google publishes its own guidance on hiring an SEO. Ask any provider for a record of what they will change, where any links will come from, and whether the work stays with you if you leave.

Our guides on how to choose an SEO agency in Australia and SEO and AI SEO red flags cover the questions in full. Market rates, and how retainers and project pricing compare, are in our guide to what SEO costs in Australia.

What we can and cannot claim

Search engines decide rankings using signals nobody outside them controls, and those systems change without notice. We do not guarantee rankings, traffic, leads or conversions, and our terms of service say so.

What is controllable is the site itself, which is the work described above. Google states that Core Web Vitals are used by its ranking systems, and that good scores do not guarantee a top position.

Those we implement and report on directly. Results vary by market, by competition and by the authority a site already has.

The same applies to Google's AI features, which require a page to be indexed and eligible to be shown in Google Search with a snippet, with no additional requirements.

Frequently asked

What does GetQuickSites include in SEO?

Site architecture and internal linking, crawlability and indexation, structured data, performance and on-page structure. Every change is recorded.

How long does SEO take to show results?

Search engines control ranking and indexing timelines, so we do not put a date on results. How quickly the work shows depends on the site's starting point, its competition and how often it is recrawled.

Can you guarantee first-page rankings on Google?

No. Google's guidance on hiring an SEO says no one can guarantee a number one ranking, and our terms state that we do not guarantee rankings, traffic, leads or conversions.

What's the difference between technical SEO and AI SEO?

Technical SEO makes a site crawlable, fast and structurally legible so its pages can be ranked. AI SEO, or answer engine optimisation, adds AI crawler directives, entity consolidation and passages written to be quoted alone.

How much do SEO services cost?

SEO is custom-quoted after a free consultation and an audit. If you want an SEO audit in Melbourne or elsewhere in Australia, the audit comes first.

Do Core Web Vitals affect Google rankings?

Yes, but not on their own. Google states that there is no single page experience signal and that good scores do not guarantee a top position.

Do I have to keep paying for SEO forever?

No. Technical work is largely durable: once a site is crawlable, fast and correctly marked up, it stays that way until something changes it.

What happens to the work if we stop working together?

It stays on your site, because the changes are made to your codebase, content and configuration. Nothing depends on a system of ours that switches off when you leave.

Do you build links, and is that safe?

We work on the parts of search you control on your own site. Paid link schemes breach search engine guidelines, so we do not use them.
